No UK is not going to be a puppet of China or Russia. Instead, a deal is being negotiated with Japan. It was already agreed that
- The two governments would not force their companies to hand over encryption keys which are used to protect proprietary corporate technology and information.
- It was also agreed that data can flow freely between the two countries and that businesses not be required to host data on servers within one country.
